It wasn’t a dream. The Bears did score 59 points yesterday.
How about a couple of fast facts you can use around the water cooler today…
• Fifty-nine is the most points ever scored by the Bears in Week 1. Their previous record was 45 points scored on Sept. 26, 1948 against the Green Bay Packers.
• Kyle Monangai’s 61-yard touchdown in the third quarter was the Bears’ longest rushing touchdown since Justin Fields’ 67-yard score on Nov. 13, 2022 against the Detroit Lions.
• Scorigami! A final score of 59-37 had never been achieved in NFL history before Sunday.
• The Bears are on pace to score 1,003 points in the regular season. The record is 606, previously set by the Denver Broncos in 2013.
